For my reward is giving glory to you.

If I am still enough. I can feel my bare feet sinking into the warm concrete. If I am still enough, I can just begin to drift seawards. The great sea, the source of all discontent, pulls at me, when the purpose driven ants and other insectoids slip in through the cracks in my skin. It is where the skin meets the nail, that they make their way in. Crawling up my leg and into my knees. I had almost reached the sea when the knowledge of good and evil had too much to drink and got obnoxious. Naivety was trying to tell an old mariners tale, and the knowledge of good and evil became too loud. Much too loud. Tomorrow we will all wake up with a humid headache.

I suppose it is some place right between those pesky ants and the sea that the Lord is always speaking.

Hey Nathanael. I found your blog by way of a comment you left on happydaydeadfish.blogspot.com. I was wondering if you had found a church. i am guessing (sorry if i am wrong) that you found happydaydeadfish.blogspot.com from googling "emerging church" and charleston...that is how i found it. i am on a hunt right now and was just checking to see what you had come across. thanks!

@hank:
Sorry it took so long to respond...

So, we have gone a couple times to a church called Seacoast...but stopped when one sunday the sermon consisted of us all sitting there watching a webcast of the pastor who was speaking at another campus (they have multiple sites) This just seemed absurd...there was nobody else to take over for this guy?

Anyway, we are currently trying out another church in summerville called http://www.journeychurchsc.org/

I am kind of at the point where I don't care so much about the church service, I just want to be in fellowship with fellow christians... That being said, Journey Church might turn out ok, they seem a little too professional or something for me.... If you have any insight of your own as to the local communities please share... Good luck and G-d Bless.
